Amy Fratantonio

Interventionist

Amy began her career working with children back in high school where she worked after school with infants and preschoolers and began taking Child Development courses. Her passion for working with children and her interest in the way their brains develop and learn led her to her undergraduate path where she studied Psychology and Elementary Education at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Amy continued her journey in education by earning her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, also from Champlain College. Amy has since spent many years teaching at the elementary level in various places including Vermont, Massachusetts, South Carolina and Rhode Island. Amy joined The Croft School Providence in its first year as a Kindergarten teacher and believes strongly that young children learn best through deep and meaningful play experiences and interactions with their peers and their environment. She strives to create rich learning environments that foster curiosity and lay a foundation for lifelong learning. After taking a year off to be with her twins, Chase & Charlie, Amy decided to pivot from her Kindergarten role to that of Academic Interventionist and is looking forward to working with students across several grade levels. Outside of the classroom, Amy loves to enjoy the beach, bike rides, live music, traveling, gardening, spending time with her family at their NH lake house, and cheering on the Patriots at Gillette.
