Taniquea began her career in early childhood education over 20 years ago. Most recently, she served the Director of the Ashmont Nursery School. Previous to this, Taniquea worked as a director at Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) and as an Early Head Start teacher at The Dimock Center in Roxbury. She has taught preschool in Michigan, Colorado, Oregon, and Massachusetts, and holds an M.Ed. from Cambridge College. Taniquea’s philosophy for early learning is to enrich young minds through play and mindful experiences by creating and maintaining an environment when children can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them. Taniquea was born and raised in West Michigan. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they are proud parents of two daughters. In her spare time, Taniquea enjoys spending time with family, reading, watching historical and geographical documentaries, and taking long walks at the Arnold Arboretum.
