Christine Giampietro

Grade 2 Teacher


Christine is very excited to have relocated to Barrington, Rhode Island in summer 2020!  She has over 12 years of classroom experience.  She was born and raised in Massachusetts and has spent the last 6 years teaching first grade in Wellesley Public Schools. Prior to this, Christine served as an after school site coordinator and taught kindergarten, first, and second grade at private and charter immersion schools. Christine earned her B.A in American Studies/Elementary Education, and M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH. Christine has also worked with the MA Department of Elementary Education on their CURATE initiative to provide guidance to districts regarding curricular decision-making. She is passionate about social-emotional learning and helping students develop into thoughtful, empathetic and inquisitive learners. As a lifelong learner, she continues to take courses and attend workshops to better herself as an educator.She enjoys spending her free time with her three children, Ella (14), Molly (8), and Holden (6) as well as her husband and two cats. In the summers, you can usually find her on Cape Cod visiting family, bike riding, reading or trying out new restaurants!
