Cristina Smith

Co-Founder and Senior Advisor, Croft Boston

Cristina’s passion for elementary education developed in her undergraduate years at Stanford University, during which she tutored, volunteered in classrooms, and took education and childhood development courses. She returned to Stanford for her Master’s Degree in education and afterwards taught in a bilingual program at Thomas Edison Charter School in San Francisco. Cristina moved with her husband to Boston, where she met Scott and learned about the opportunity to open a new, innovative elementary school. She and Scott co-designed the program for The Croft School in Providence, and Cristina taught the founding class of kindergarten students there. She then helped to bring the educational model that our Providence families love to co-found The Croft School: Boston. Cristina serves as a senior advisor to The Croft School: Boston.
