David has worked as an elementary art educator for nearly twenty years. He grew up in St. Paul, MN, and graduated from Fordham University in NY with a BA in German Studies and Communications. Years later, he found himself on hiatus in Canada. Without a work visa, the only logical choice was to go to art school. After receiving a diploma from the Ottawa School of Art, he left for Mexico City to develop the art curriculum for a private, bilingual school there. A Masters Degree in Curriculum Development from SUNY-Buffalo followed. He has since taught in Orlando, FL, Minneapolis, MN, and Washington, DC before arriving to Boston last summer. His studio practice includes drawing, painting, and photography. He finds, however, that the most relevant and meaningful art making is that which happens in the classroom with children.
