Jami Witherell is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts Amherst with both a B.A. in Communication and an M.Ed in Elementary Education. With over a decade of experience in grades 2, 3, and 4 at a small public school in Greenfield, MA, she is thrilled to be relocating to Rhode Island to join the Croft School Family. Currently pursuing an Ed.S in Reading Speciality at Bay Path University she has a passion for learning more about how children learn to read and learn to love to read. When not in her classhome, you can find her on the stage performing in community theater (her favorite role?: Sour Kangaroo in Seussical!), practicing the piano, voraciously reading, swimming (notably in the longest pool in the world in her home country of Chile.), and working with educators across the country to grow professionally in ELA instruction.
