A lifelong book-lover, Julia Horwitz graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing in 2019. While in undergrad, she led a comprehensive, inclusive health education program in partnership with Planned Parenthood, teaching in high schools across Providence. Since then, she has worked in school libraries in Providence and Woonsocket RI, always with a hope of cultivating wonder, self-love, and hope for a better world in young readers. She is currently working towards her Masters in Library in Information Science, with a focus on elementary school librarianship, at the University of Rhode Island. She is originally from Southern California and when her nose isn't in a book, she can be found knitting or writing spooky stories.
