Kirsten has taught at public schools and public charter schools in New York City, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She has experience in the classroom teaching first through fourth grades. For the past several years, she has served as an instructional coach working directly with teachers to collaborate and support them in meeting professional and student learning goals. Kirsten has engaged in extensive professional development activities in literacy, mathematics and classroom community-building. She is excited to return to the classroom because she loves making connections with students and their families and is passionate about helping children harness their natural curiosity. Kirsten feels strongly that each child deserves first and foremost to be seen and known at school and loves that every day as a teacher is unique. She has a Masters of Science in Teaching from Pace University and received her bachelor’s degree from Boston College. Kirsten lives in Cumberland with her husband and their three children. In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family, especially at the beach.
