Kindergarten Teacher


Lauren began her career as an educator in Phoenix, Arizona, where she taught kindergarten and first grade and served as a behavior intervention specialist for students in K-8th grade. After 6 years in the classroom, she moved across the country to Boston and began work in the education nonprofit sector. There she specialized in designing and implementing professional development programs to support educators in project based learning, civic education, and social emotional learning for students in elementary and middle school. Lauren holds masters degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Social Justice & Human Rights, both from Arizona State University, and has a bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She lives in Roslindale with her husband and 3 year old son and enjoys hiking and camping, meandering through bookstores, sing-alongs with her neighbors, and cooking with her family.
