Mandy Pena

Founding Spanish Teacher


Mandy was born in El Salvador. She is the youngest daughter of sixteen children. Her childhood was very happy with her parents. Mandy’s father was an exceptional man and her mother was a very strong and wise woman. Her father gave her the name of Miosotis which means: "Forget Me Not" a greek flower. She came to Boston, MA with her mom when she was sixteen years old and came to live with her dad in Cambridge. She married Jose, the man of her life, and two years later they had a daughter Geraldine. Their daughter is her pride and joy. Mandy took a few courses in Early Childhood at Roxbury Community College. She then decided to study at Cambridge College to obtain a BS and a M Ed. She graduated as an elementary school teacher and then started her career at a public school.
