Mary earned her bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and her master’s degree and teacher certification from the University of Pennsylvania. Mary has taught fifth grade for 10 years in both public and independent schools in New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. She is thrilled to be returning to the independent school community and very excited to teach a new, upper elementary grade level. Mary’s favorite subject to teach is language arts, as she loves helping her students critically analyze texts and become clear and articulate writers. She lives in northern Rhode Island with her husband and young son.Outside of school, Mary likes to read, write, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
